A slew of news to pass along as a lot is going on including what I’m hoping will be the final sessions for the record that I’ve been working on for what seems like forever. I know…..I’m slow, but the tunnel at the end isn’t a train it’s just that I’ve been hiding in the light, and probably hanging upside down. I have been doing a bunch of writing and for me that’s a miracle. Taking the band back into the studio with Mr Adam Rossi, along with Andrew Griffin, Erik Schramm, Pie Fiorentino, Joey Dibono and also special guest Jerry Becker who has been doing some writing with me which I’m super excited about. We’ll also get Vicki Randle back in along with the Screaming Angels.
On Wednesday 4/3 I’ll be heading back to Tucson, AZ for a killer show at the Dusty Monk with some AZ legendary friends. This is a night that Dan Stuart has started and is really starting to take off as it a great night playing songs with Loren Dircks (Gila Bend), Van Christian (Naked Prey), Nik Augustine (Rainer & Das Combo), Chris Martin (U & The Risk), and Marc Perrodin (The Sidwinders). There will also be some special guest and these guys have started learning all the rock songs. I’ll also be heading into Wavelab studio on 4/2 with Craig Schumacher to work on a couple new things as well. Can’t wait to see everyone out there and come say howdy.
Also on the horizon are a couple of killer shows in late April & early May.
On April 30th is the release of the Jeff Buckley biography book titled “Grace” which was written by Tiffanie Debartolo, and there will be a book release at The Sweetwater along with a tribute show that will include Wayne Kramer from the MC5, and whole bunch of talented folks playing Jeff Buckley songs. I’ll be jumping up there doing “Everybody Here Wants You” and can’t wait for this big night. Get your tickets soon!
Then on Thursday May 2nd is another fun bash at Makeout Room in SF with Lydia & The Projects kicking up a soulful storm with us as we’re headlining the night for Parker Gibb’s DJ Foodcourt extravaganza. More details on that to follow and thank you again for listening.
